It was a pleasure meeting such a gentleman who put smiles on our faces, greeting us with a warm welcome every morning.
We could never forget someone who could eat as many marmalade sandwiches as you could which is where you got your nickname from. I’m sorry for cutting eyebrows (which I got into trouble for from Kelly) but Mark made me do it :)
Meeting your loving family who all cared so much and being with you until your very last moments.
We hope you’re enjoying your allotments up there and eating even more marmalade sandwiches, you’ll forever be in our hearts.
Lots of love

My dad would always read the obituaries in the Echo and Evening post, so fitting tribute to have his put in the Echo.
He was a man who liked to be outside and loved being in the garden. He had a lovely smile with a twinkle in his eyes and was happy to talk to anyone as he walked through the village. Every year as the daffodils begin to shoot I think, and I will think especially of Dad.Thanks a million Dad and keep smiling!

Dad,
In life you were so thoughtful, kind and loving.
I remember so fondly our time together in our garden, at the allotments and all the little diversions we went on.
Your smile and warmth to Jackie when she had been so very ill meant so much.
You are forever in our thoughts and prayers.
Go wandering amongst the daffodils.
Keep smiling.
Love always Mark, Jackie and family. Xx
